Slideshow of the Safari

This is long, 111 pictures, but hey, we got that down from 1400.  We have more if anyone wants to see them.  The slideshow takes 13 minutes.  It gives you a good idea of our experience there though.

  2. Rebecca, Well, obviously I couldn't read and catch up with all of your activities in just this one sitting but I find your writing and insight to Malawi both spirited and realistic. To undertake an adventure such as this with your children is amazing and I hope it will serve them well all their lives - I'm positive they'll never forget it. My family, kids and spouse, lived in Hong Kong for several years and although we were not living in poverty stricken areas my children in grade and junior high school received lessons that still serve them well - also an interest in other parts of the world than our own. At any rate, I'm so happy for you to have been able to take this journey. I giggled a bit everytime you references the Palm Beach Resort as the only Palm Beach that I relate to is the posh part of Florida, Palm Beach. I expect that it was named tongue in cheek sometime by a foreigner. I was very moved to see the classes with Tim and Annie surrounded by children - empowering, rewarding, but maybe a little intimidating(?) at first.....they looked like real professional tudors! BTW - are you all Anglicans or was that the church nearest by? The spiders, the bat, and the frog might have been my favorite "bedtime" story - you must have been shaking your head then with maybe a thought of "what have we gotten ourselves into?" The spiders would have done me in even more than the bats or the frogs. I won't go on and on but I loved seeing this adventure through our eyes and the marvelous photographs - the Puku, and the close up of Zebra faces might have won my heart for the animal shots. I'm wondering if you're home already........or not? Wherever you are, God bless you all! xoxoxoDianna Woolley
